The U.S. Army hereby notifies the public of its intent to convey by quitclaim deed a portion of the former Fort Monmouth, which includes a former “Carve Out” known as the Group 4 Carve Out consisting of property in a portion of Parcel 57, to the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA). The property proposed to be transferred includes small portions of property that were formerly designated as “Carve Out” since it had yet to be fully evaluated as to the environmental condition and were carved out from property previously transferred. The property has been fully evaluated and determined to be suitable for transfer. The Army plans to convey approximately 5.1 acres under an Economic Development Conveyance. A draft Finding of Suitability to Transfer (FOST) has been prepared to document the environmental conditions of the property and its suitability for transfer.

The draft FOST is available at the link below. The U.S. Army will accept comments on the draft FOST during a 30-day public review and comment period commencing from October 20, 2020 and ending on November 19, 2020.
